“Iron Man 2″ LA Photocall – Gwyneth Paltrow In Victoria Beckham Collection

Gwyneth Paltrow looked stunning at the “Iron Man 2″ LA photocall on Friday afternoon in LA.

The actress wore a grey Victoria Beckham Spring 2010 dress with a slightly padded shoulders.

The dress showed off Gwynie’s amazing figure as it hugged her in all the right places.

VBs dresses always look like they were custom-made for each wearer.

I like how Paltrow didn’t over accessorize.

She just added Georgina Goodman Leon Love sandals.

The nude sandals with the word ‘Love’ on the side in black, add a touch of pizazz to this look.

Jennifer Lopez wore the pink version of this dress back in September, but I think the materials are different as Gwynie’s dress appears to have a glossier finish.

The press seem to be enjoying the fact that Scarlett and Gwynie’s dresses were very similar in colour.

Juicy, Re-Juiced

Though it’s gone through several phases since its initial velour tracksuit heyday, Juicy Couture has never fully shaken its reputation for loungewear. But with a newly appointed chief creative officer, LeAnn Nealz, the brand is looking to up its fashion cred—and its first seasonal presentation, held at an NYC mansion last night, suggested that it’s on the right track. “The collection feels fresh, young, updated, and most of all, modern,” Nealz said. The core tracksuit pieces were still on offer, but they were interspersed among casual sporty pieces that were easy but more stylish than before. Mini tennis skirts paired with sweatshirt tops looked like what young girls want to wear now. Nealz also made a play for the unstoppable striped-tee trend, with brightly colored versions ready to go head to head with any on the market.—Marina Larroude

Yea, Nay, Or Eh? Leighton In Lace

At last night’s Harry Winston “Court of Jewels” launch, Leighton Meester got enviably decked in diamonds—a Winston three-row diamond necklace, Cluster earrings, and Loop bracelet, to be exact. But even with jewels lavish enough for a crown princess, Meester was channeling a pretty contemporary court. She chose a sheer lace Marchesa jumpsuit with a plunging neckline, worn with peep-toe suede Nicholas Kirkwood heels and a deep fuchsia lip. Leave it to Leighton—never shy on the red carpet—to combine glamour with a little grrr. We like it. Do you?

PW, the Wristwatch Guide: Maurice de Mauriac Zurich Chronograph Modern on Nato

This is the Maurice de Mauriac Zurich Chronograph Modern in a 42 mm x 14 mm satin brushed finish titanium case. We previously reviewed a 45 mm diameter black DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) case variant here. The majority of Maurice de Mauriac timepieces come with beautiful satin brushed cases which are – both harder to finish than a typical brushed finish and easier to scratch. Nevertheless I highly recommend the satin finish as it looks great even with scratches.

The movement is a self-winding top grade (same as chronometer without certificate) Valjoux 7750 mechanical chronograph with circular graining on the mainplate and Geneva stripes on the bridges cheap breitling fake watch rotor with Geneva stripes – ceramic ball bearings for faster winding 25-jewels frequency of 28 800 vph (4Hz) 42-hour power reserve and blued screws. Black dial with white luminous Arabic numerals but instead of 12 1 2…the hour markers show a triangle at 12 o’clock and then 05 10 up to 55 at 11 o’clock – a configuration that puts the focus on chronograph seconds (which use the central hand). The uncharacteristic markers create a highly distinctive dial and the signature look that this Zurich plastic band watches manufacturer Switzerland based brand is known for.

Functions include hours minutes small seconds date and chronograph (12-hour subdial 30-minute subdial and 60-second central seconds). Flat sapphire glass with double anti-reflective treatment. Locking crown and pushers. Titanium sapphire crystal caseback. Water-resistance 100 meters. Nato strap (solid striped Hermes leather) also available on leather or textile strap.

Sidewalk Style: Lady GaGa In Versace

Lady GaGa continued to channel her inner Donatella Versace this weekend.

She was first spotted on Friday arriving at a recording studio in West Hollywood, wearing a stunning black one-shoulder Versace gown with a cut-out detail on the side.

She completed her look with a black leather Versace clutch and oversized shades.

I would say that this gown is a bit much for the daytime, but we are talking about Lady GaGa here and as you know this is considerably toned down by her standards.

On Saturday Lady Gaga left her temporary digs at the Chateau Marmont Hotel in West Hollywood enroute to the airport.

The singer wore another Versace look.

I adore this yellow snakeskin cocktail dress which she paired with her favourite Christian Louboutin Daffodil pumps and shades with a gold trim detail.

It’s a quintessential Versace look. Bold and brash.

I liked Lady GaGa’s Gianni Versace stage, but I love her Donatella Versace stage.

She carries off these looks surprisingly well.

Social Events Of The Week

Rosemount Australian Fashion Week Spring 2009/10 – Camilla & Marc show

Australian Fashion Week has kicked off, so I hope that means we’ll see plenty of Lara Bingle during the week.

The gorgeous model arrived wearing a Louis Vuitton Spring 2009 ultra mini maroon cowl-neck dress, with purple puffy sleeves.

Her look was complete with – what I predict will be she shoes of the year – the Louis Vuitton Spicy heels.

Her dress is incredibly short, so the tights can be forgiven, but it doesn’t mean I like them.

“The Philanthropist” Broadway Opening Night, New York

Sarah Jessica Parker ivory dress, with an pink carnation is very cute, but I’m finding it hard to get excited about it.

“The Good Guy” Premiere, Tribeca Film Festival

Alexis Bledel is wearing a Cushnie et Ochs spring 2009 black dress, with cut-outs details.

It’s a very interesting choice of dress. I’m particularly fascinated by the shoulder pads on the sleeveless dress.

Independent Filmmaker Project, New York

We haven’t seen Katie Holmes on the red carpet much recently.

Here she wears a black satin Alexander McQueen halter top, with matching black pants. It’s quite classic, and appropriate for her event.

She completes her look with Givenchy lace-up heels, and a Hermes Medor clutch.

Thankfully Sanaa Lathan was there to add a lot of colour to this event, with her bright red dress.

I’m loving the multiple string of pearls.

Her look is complete with silver accessories.

Hannah Montana: The Movie Berlin Premiere

Miley Cyrus had yet another premiere to attend this weekend. This time she wore a dove grey Temperley London dress.

The dress was cute, not too tight, not too short, not too revealing, and age appropriate, so hopefully we can all agree – for once -that this is a great look for Miley.

Out & About, New York

The world has been going crazy about Kim Kardashian new lighter ‘do.

I say “please”, it’s so obvious the girl is wearing a honey coloured weave.

The volume of her hair is a dead giveaway, plus the texture.

As she lapped up the attention from the paparazzi, she was spotted out in New York wearing a black Helmut Lang V-neck twill jumpsuit, with Giuseppe Zanotti gladiator boots.

I don’t know about you, but this look scares me. I hope she takes out the weave soon.

2010 Teen Choice Awards – Kristen Bell In Stella McCartney

Best Dressed Award
Lea Michele came close, but Kristen Bell was by far the Best Dressed at the 2010 Teen Choice Awards.

The petite blonde actress ooze class, style and sophistication wearing a Stella McCartney embroidered organza dress from the Fall 2010 collection.

Her Fall dress had all the joys of spring.

Her look is made up of two parts: an embroidered strapless dress and a red organza tank overlay which has a cute mini skirt.

She let the dress do the talking by opting for a silver ring and a simple tousled ponytail.

Her look was paired with Brian Atwood ‘Katie Lee’ pumps which she’s worn twice before to the 2010 Academy of Country Music Awards and Brian Atwood dinner party.

Do you agree that Kristen was the best dressed, or did you prefer someone else?

The 2010 Teen Choice Awards airs on FOX today at 8:00-10:00 PM (ET/PT).

Freekey Press-to-Open Key Ring

Freekey Press to Open Key Ring

How many times have you broken your fingernail or jabbed that metal ring into your finger when trying to put a new key on your key ring? Me = a lot. From the Stockholm, Sweden-based design firm of DDG comes Freekey, The Press-to-Open Key Ring.

Freekey Press to Open Key Ring

The piece is made of a flat metal three-loop ring with one conveniently placed bump in the middle loop. That bump creates leverage when you press the top ring down allowing you to slip keys on and off. It’s simple, yet useful, and makes you wonder why someone didn’t invent it ages ago.

Lea Michele In Michael Kors – Michael Kors Luncheon

Lea Michele attended a luncheon benefiting the Saban Free Clinic at the Beverly Hills Michael Kors Collection Store yesterday afternoon.

The ‘Glee’ actress wore a super-short Michael Kors fuchsia hammered brocade racer dress.

I love the vibrant pink colour on her; it works perfectly with her complexion which she contrasts with soft pink lips and blush.

On this occasion I do like her hair, but I’m still not sure if I can ever get used to seeing her with bangs.

Her silver strappy sandals are perfection, but the nude clutch isn’t working for me and it feels like a last-minute addition before stepping out the door.

Melinda Maria jewels completed her look.
